§ Mr. SackvilleThe information is shown in the table. During 1992, superintendent registrars reported 189 cases to the Registrar General where they suspected that a proposed marriage had been arranged for the sole purpose of evading statutory immigration controls. Of the 189 cases, 152 were notified by superintendent registrars from the Greater London area.
