§ Mr. BaldryThe outturn for the first year of the Department's flats over shops initiative will not be known until all final claims have been returned by local authorities. Provisional information from local authority fourth quarterly monitoring returns indicates that some £4,093,000 has been spent in 1992–93 producing some 292 new homes at an average grant cost per unit of £14,000.
