To ask the President of the Board of Trade when the United Kingdom will ratify the chemical weapons convention signed in Paris in January.

§ Mr. Sainsbury
Primary legislation is necessary to enable the United Kingdom to fulfil its obligations under the convention. We intend to ratify the convention when this legislation has been adopted.
