§ Mr. SoamesEmbryotomy is sometimes performed on dead lambs in the womb in the welfare interest of the ewe. However, the Department is not aware of any evidence to suggest that embryotomy is performed on live lambs.
Should anyone have such evidence, it should be reported immediately to the state veterinary service.
