68W
§ Mr. JackThe Criminal Injuries Compensation Board does not maintain detailed statistics on the time taken for a first decision to be made on cases. However, it has been established that some 80 per cent. of cases reach that stage within one year of the application having been received. The number of cases in which a first offer is made and accepted stands at about 50 per cent.
