§ Mr. ForthYes. The English tests for 14-year-olds to be conducted this summer are the product of three years of trials in schools, involving hundreds of teachers and thousands of pupils. It is the statutory duty of head teachers to implement them, and the professional and contractual duty of teachers to carry them out.
