§ Sir George YoungThe housing market package, announced in the autumn statement, included £50 million for additional grants under the cash incentive scheme and tenants incentive scheme. These have enabled 3,300 tenants of local authorities and housing associations to buy homes of their own on the private market, freeing their previous homes for families in housing need.
