To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage how many certificates have been signed under the terms of section 27 of the Data Protection Act 1984 since April 1982.

My Department was formed in April 1992 and I assume that the question relates to the period since then. No certificates have been issued so far as the Department of National Heritage is concerned.
