§ Mr. HanleyMortality rates are determined and recorded by calender year. For 1992, the perinatal mortality rate was 8.2 per 1,000 total births. This rate includes still-births of 24 to 27 completed weeks' gestation registered from 1 October 1992, when the gestation period was reduced to 24 weeks. For 1992, the infant mortality rate was 6.0 per 1,000 live births.
