§ Mr. AitkenThe report refers to Brown and Root Inc, which is a United States-managed and operated company. Its allegations do not relate to Brown and Root Ltd., which is a member of the Hunting-BRAE consortium selected to operate AWE. Brown and Root Ltd. is the lead partner in the consortium running Devonport dockyard, where their nuclear safety record has been first class. In selecting Hunting-BRAE Ltd. as the contractor to operate AWE, careful account was taken of the corporate experience of all members of the consortium including their commitment to safety.
