TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many new undergraduates have been enrolled at(a) the Queen's university of Belfast and (b) the university of Ulster for the academic year 1992–93; how many of these at each of the two universities come from (1) Northern Ireland, (2) Great Britain, (3) Republic of Ireland and (4) other European countries.
§ Mr. HanleyFinal undergraduate enrolment figures are not yet available for 1992–93. However, it is estimated that:
- (a) 2,670 new full-time and 240 new part-time undergraduates have enrolled at Queen's university, Belfast and
- (b) 4,092 new full-time and 1,085 new part-time undergraduates have enrolled at the university of Ulster.
The country of domicile for new full-time and part-time undergraduates at each of the universities is estimated as follows:
