HL Deb 29 October 1992 vol 539 cc109-10WA
Lord Cocks of Hartcliffe

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What repairs and refurbishments were carried out in the Palace of Westminster during the summer adjournment, and how much each cost.

The Lord Privy Seal (Lord Wakeham)

A programme of more than 100 work projects, covering both Houses, was undertaken in the Palace of Westminster during the summer recess. It is too early

to detail the exact outturn of each project, but the overall cost of the programme in the Palace and its associated buildings is estimated at about £5 million.
