asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many deaths registered as cot deaths, sudden infant death syndrome or similar term under the age of 1 year in England and Wales in 1991 in total and divided by sex in the following age groups: (i) less than I week, (ii) 1– 3 weeks, (iii) 4– 51 weeks, and by months of the year.
