To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will publish a list showing those countries which have contingents as part of the United Nations protection forces—UNPROFOR—in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, indicating their numbers and function and where they are based.

The following countries have contributed contingents to UNPROFOR. Numbers, function and location where known are also indicated. The table is divided into two parts to reflect countries commitments to UNPROFOR—first phase—and those agreed for UNPROFOR—second phase.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his answer of 19 October,Official Report, columns 34–35, what information the United Kingdom authorities have received over the political responsibility for war crimes by Slobodan Milosevic and Radovan Karadzic.

United Nations Security Council resolution 771 calls for the submission of substantiated information about violations of international humanitarian law in the former Yugoslavia. We have so far received no information relating to any named individual.

Any substantiated information we receive will be submitted to the Security Council in line with UNSCR 771.
