To ask the President of the Board of Trade what assessment he has made of the viability of Point of Ayr colliery as a supplier of coal to Fiddler's Ferry power station; and if he will make a statement

[holding answer 26 October 1992]: The viability of Point of Ayr colliery will be considered as part of the review outlined by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade on 21 October. I should welcome any evidence or comments that the hon. Member may have on this issue to pass on to the review team.
