To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the expenditure of the Local Government Staff Commission for Northern Ireland for the years 1990–91, 1991–92 and the budget for 1992–93.

Mr. Atkins

The expenditure of the Local Government Staff Commission during 1990–91 was £88,977 and during the year 1991–92 was £122,431. The estimated expenditure for 1992–93 is £326,700.
