§ Mr. Garel-JonesI refer the hon. Member to my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General's answer to his question of Tuesday 19 May 1992. The European Community has exclusive competence where that is conferred upon it by treaty provision or measures taken under the treaty. It is not possible to draw up an exhaustive theoretical list. Current examples include the common agricultural policy, the common commercial policy and the external tariff.
