§ Mr. Lennox-BoydWe made representations with our EC partners reflecting these concerns in December 1991, March and April 1992. These issues were also addressed in bilateral discussions with Malawian Ministers in May and June this year. Further representations are currently being made to the Malawi Government urging them to respond positively to the call from the religious community and other bodies for democratic reform and to lift the ban on the Catholic bishops' pastoral letter.
