HC Deb 21 October 1992 vol 212 c332W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how much is currently allocated by his Department to(a) road and (b) rail infrastructure projects in Clwyd; and if he will publish an estimated figure for expenditure by his Department in Clwyd in 1993–94 and 1994–95 indicating in each case the principal projects allocated moneys.

Sir Wyn Roberts

In 1992–93, some £16.7 million has been directly allocated to road projects in Clwyd. This includes expenditure on the recently opened Mold bypass and the county council's transport grant settlement. Additional expenditure is incurred by Clwyd county council using credit approvals and revenue support grant provided by the Welsh Office. The Department does not directly provide funds for British Rail infrastructure projects. Expenditure decisions for 1993–94 and 1994–95 will be announced following the annual public expenditure surveys.
