§ Mr. Lennox-BoydWe hope that the EC Development Council on 18 November, which will be chaired by my right hon. and noble Friend the Minister for Overseas Development, will agree on a statement of development co-operation policy for the 1990s. This will set out how the 317W EC's development policy, including assistance for structural adjustment programmes, can best contribute to sustainable development and the relief of poverty, and thus to improving security of access to food for people in developing countries.
