HC Deb 21 October 1992 vol 212 c320W
18. Mr. Dickens

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the value of cashmere and woollen garments sold annually out of Scotland; and what percentage is exported from the United Kingdom.

Mr. Allan Stewart

I can best answer my hon. Friend's question by referring to the estimate of the Textile Statistics Bureau that, in 1991, exports of woollen and fine animal hair garments from the United Kingdom were in the region of £472 million. Separate figures are not available for Scotland.
