§ Mr. Chris SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he intends to publish, and in what form, the decisions or authorisation of discharges from the thermal oxide reprocessing plant at Sellafield, including any authorisation for Krypton 85; when such decisions will be made public; and whether he will place a copy in the Library.
§ Mr. MacleanHer Majesty's inspectorate of pollution and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will shortly issue draft authorisations relating to the BN FL site at Sellafield, including the thermal oxide reprocessing plant (THORP) and Krypton 85 emissions, providing in accordance with normal practice the opportunity for local authorities, public bodies and members of the public to comment. Full consideration will be given to views that are expressed.
I will arrange for copies of the draft authorisations, when issued, to be placed in the Library.
