§ Mr. JackThe total expenditure under the safer cities programme in the financial year 1991–92 was £7.2 million of which £2.0 million was for the running costs of the 20 projects including staff salaries, accommodation and other administrative expenditure. A total of £5.2 million was paid in grants to support local crime prevention activity, as follows:
