§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe individuals and communities best able to help preserve the rain forests are those living in and around the forests themselves. It is an important aim of many ODA-funded projects to encourage and enable these communities, along with their Governments, to participate in and benefit from the conservation and sustainable management of their forests.
