§ Mr. Llew SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent discussions his Department has had with its French and German counterparts concerning(a) the import of Australian origin PCB toxic waste into the European Community in August and (b) the transfrontier trade in hazardous waste between member states of the European Community.
§ Mr. MacleanThe transfrontier movement of hazardous wastes, including movements within the Community, is being discussed during the negotiations on the draft EC Waste Shipments Regulation. There have been no discussions with our Community partners about Australian PCB wastes.
