HC Deb 19 October 1992 vol 212 c149W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what have been the outturn sums paid to community health councils in each of the past 10 years and the amount planned for the next financial year; and if he will publish a table showing the sums indexed with the 1981–82 expenditure expressed as 100.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

The information requested on outturn expenditure over the past 10 years is given in the table. It should be noted that this relates to accrued expenditure not simply to cash payments. Planned cash provision in 1992–93 amounts to £1 million; but it is not possible, at this stage of the financial year, to make reliable forecasts of outturn expenditure in either accruals or cash terms. Provision for 1993–94 has not yet been determined.
