To ask the President of the Board of Trade what plans he has for establishing a clearing house database of information on cleaner technology.

My Department intends to support the establishment of a centre to provide information and advice on cleaner technology. A feasibility study carried out this year showed a demand for it and work is currently in hand to determine the services to be offered and the mechanisms of operation.
