HC Deb 19 October 1992 vol 212 c96W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are his conclusions from investigation by Government scientists for the Agricultural Development Advisory Service into the death of tropical butterflies at Fraddam in 1992, and the related matters of imported chrysalids and wind-borne farm pesticides.

Mr. Soames

The findings of a field investigation which was carried out on 9 June were inconclusive. No relationship was established between the deaths of the butterflies at Fraddam and the use of pesticides.
