§ Mr. SteenTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the additional checks and requirements that are now required to meet new European Community requirements on those applying for sheep premium in 1992; and what timetable has been imposed.
§ Mr. CurryThe principal changes to the 1992 sheep annual premium scheme requiring additional checking are the application of headage payment limits to partnerships and to shared flocks; the eligibility of leased flocks, shepherds, and employees in the context of a producer group claim; and the need for producers to keep additional records. There is no formal timetable but we aim to complete all checks and pay claims as quickly as possible.
