§ Mr. SackvilleThe number of deaths among children under five in England for 1991 is 5,750. The figure for 1992 up to and including the end of June is 2,548. The decline in infant mortality, with deaths at the lowest level ever achieved, include the welcome reduction in sudden infant death—cot death.
