HC Deb 26 November 1992 vol 214 c793W
Mr. McGrady

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what plans he has to increase the budget to the Housing Executive to meet housing needs in Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Atkins

The resources available to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for 1992–93 have recently been increased by £3 million to enable it to purchase dwellings for people in urgent need of housing. A further £1.3 million has been added mainly to cover the cost of bomb damage repairs to executive property. This means that the resources available to the executive for 1992–93 have been increased to approximately £490 million.
