676WA special transitional grant of £539 million will be made available to local authorities in England next year for their new responsibilities for community care. This covers all relevant client groups, and will be additional to authorities' general funding through the revenue support grant and specific grants for mental illness, HIV/AIDS and alcohol and drugs misuse of £34.4 million, £12.4 million and £2.3 million respectively.
