Mr. Hendry

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what support is given by her Department to support training initiatives for young homeless people.

Mr. McLoughlin

All young people under 18 not in full-time education or employment are guaranteed the offer of a suitable training place on youth training if they want one. There is no requirement for trainees to have a permanent address.

Mr. Bayley

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what proportion of employment training leavers in the North Yorkshire training and enterprise council area found paid employment in(a) the 12 months to March 1991 and (b) the 12 months to March 1992.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if she will publish figures showing the costs in 1991–92 and forecasts of the cost in 1992–93 of each of the training and job creation programmes for which her Department is or was responsible distinguishing in each case between allowances payable to scheme participants and other costs.
