§ Mr. MilburnTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will set out the target number of contract training weeks under(a) employment training and (b) youth training set by his Department with Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise for (i) 1991–92 and (ii) 1992–93, broken down by local enterprise company, with the percentage difference in each case.
§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 23 November 1992]: The Scottish Office did not set for 1991–92 or 1992–93 target numbers of contract training weeks for Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and their local enterprise companies. The number of contract training weeks provided by the companies is an 590W operational matter for Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. I have asked the chairmen of these bodies to write to the hon. Member.
