HL Deb 24 November 1992 vol 540 c63WA
Lord Molloy

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether Stoke Mandeville Hospital intends to make staff redundant; and if so, how many such redundancies will be among the nursing staff; and whether any such redundancies are the result of a decreased demand by patients for the services of the hospital, or of a lack of funds from the local health authority for the treatment of patients.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

This is a matter for the local health authority. The noble Lord may wish to write to Gillian Miscampbell, chairman of Aylesbury Vale Health Authority, for details.
