§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the resignation of Mrs. Carolyn Jones from the board of the South Glamorgan health authority; when he expects to fill the vacancy; and what procedures he will use with regard to the soliciting of suggested names of qualified individuals and the drawing up of a short list.
§ Mr. David HuntI accepted Mrs. Jones' resignation with great regret as I believe she had a great deal to contribute to the running of the health service in South Glamorgan.
I intend filling the vacancy as soon as a suitable candidate has been identified. As concerns procedures, I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply that I gave him on 6 November 1992, Official Report, column 473
