§ Mr. MarlowTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the requests he has received from within the United Kingdom for agricultural returns to be set out in hectares rather than acres; and if he will make a statement on the application of the principle of subsidiarity in considering a change from acres to hectares.
§ Mr. CurryAll agricultural census and survey returns, grant application and claim forms sent out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food are already set out in hectares. Requests for these returns to be sent out in hectares rather than acres would be redundant.
