To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give an undertaking to purchase only ozone-friendly fridges that do not contain chlorofluorocarbons or hydrochlorofluorocarbons for his Department.

[holding answer 19 November 1992]: The Scottish Office will purchase fridges which do not contain CFCs or HCFCs when they are available in the market place and provided that they offer good value for money.
