§ Mr. David HuntTir Cymen is the countryside stewardship scheme in Wales. It has been introduced for a period of five years as an experimental project in three areas because it is the first environmental incentive scheme for all farmed landscapes and habitats in a large area and it is essential to evaluate the administrative, financial and monitoring systems adopted. The extension of the scheme will depend on the outcome of that evaluation and the resources then available.
