Mr. Hinchliffe

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if he will approve and press for a phase-out of methyl bromide at the Montreal protocol negotiations; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what action he is taking to phase out the use of methyl bromide in the United Kingdom.

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what instructions have been issued to safeguard persons using methyl bromide.

The information that has been issued to safeguard persons using methyl bromide is as follows:
