HC Deb 18 November 1992 vol 214 c269W
Ms. Rachel Squire

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement concerning the review of assisted area status and its particular implications for the Dunfermline travel-to-work area.

Mr. Stewart

The needs and problems of all areas, including Dunfermline, are being carefully considered in the review of assisted area status. Decisions on the designation of particular areas will be informed by an analysis of data on a range of relevant factors and by the responses to the consultation paper which my right hon. Friend issued in June.
