HC Deb 16 November 1992 vol 214 c92W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will review the cost implication of the stationery required for the national record of achievement post-16 for high schools.

Sir Wyn Roberts

No. The national record of achievement is not compulsory for post-16 in high schools. It is therefore for individual schools to decide whether to fund the NRA's introduction for post-16 students.

Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the cost to individual high schools of the post-16 national record of achievement.

Sir Wyn Roberts

As the national record of achievement is not compulsory post-16, central records are not kept and the information is not available. However, if individual schools decide to introduce the NRA post-16, the cost varies according to the numbers ordered, ranging from £7.00 per folder for ordering one to £3.27 per folder for bulk orders of 100 or more.
