HC Deb 13 November 1992 vol 213 c986W
Mr. Sedgemore

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what representations she has received from St. Bartholomew's hospital about the North East Thames regional health authority's attitude to the implementation of the Tomlinson Report; and what actionm she will take to prevent North East Thames regional health authority from telling purchasers, providers or anyone else in the NHS that decisions have already been taken on Tomlinson and that the negotiations are a mere formality.

Dr. Mawhinney

We have made it clear to everyone in the national health service and to the House the decisions on recommendations in the Tomlinson report will be made only following careful evaluation. I will be visiting the institutions most affected by the report and I will listen carefully to their views.
