§ Mr. HowardGovernment Departments have a statutory right under the Public Record Acts to retrieve records temporarily from the Public Record Office for 957W their own administrative use. My Department currently has 28 records out on loan, as listed. Some of these are with the Department of National Heritage, for whom my Department continues to provide a records management service. Records are returned as soon as departmental action has been completed.
