HC Deb 12 November 1992 vol 213 c851W
Mr. Bill Walker

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what changes he intends to make to the cash limits for 1992–93 within his responsibility.

Mr. Lang

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimates I intend to make changes to two cash limitsa. The cash limit for class XV, vote 3, training programmes, roads and transport services and industrial support, Scotland will be increased by £948,000 from £712,741,000 to £713,689,000. The increase takes account of a £200,000 increase in provision for Scottish Enterprise in respect of European Community projects supported by the RECHAR programme; and to carry forward the £748,000 capital underspend on roads and transport in respect of end-year flexibility arrangements as announced by the Chief Secretary on 15 July 1992, Official Report, cols 698–702. b. The cash limit for class XV, vote 13, education and arts and libraries, Scotland will be increased by £2,341,000 from £260,274,000 to £262,615,000. The increase reflects the full uptake of end-year flexibility as announced by the Chief Secretary on 15 July 1992, Official Report, cols 698–702.

All the increases are within the forecast outturn for the planning total included in the Chancellor's autumn statement today.
