§ Mr. David HuntThe payment arrangements for the hill livestock compensatory allowance scheme are considered within the context of the autumn review of economic conditions and prospects for our hill and upland farmers. As part of this process I have met representatives from the National Farmers Union (Wales) and the Farmers Union of Wales who have outlined their views and priorities. The HLCA payment arrangements to apply from 1 January 1993 will be announced as soon as possible.
