To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the provision of disabled facilities grants.

Disabled facilities grants assist disabled people with the cost of adaptations to enable them to live more independently in their own homes. Since the new grant system was introduced in July 1990, more than 30,000 grants have been approved at a total cost of £103 million.
