To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if he will list the performances of(a) theatre, (b) dance, (c) opera and (d) music which he has attended in an official capacity since taking up his appointment.

Since my appointment as Secretary of State for National Heritage I have attended performances of "Three Birds Alighting on a Field" at the Royal Court theatre, the Duenna at Opera North, a memorial concert for Sir Andrzej Panufnik at the Queen Elizabeth hall, a concert given by the Guildhall chamber orchestra and a private concert in honour of the eightieth birthday of Sir Georg Solti. I shall be attending the opening concert of the Scandinavian arts festival at the Barbican and the Royal Ballet's performance of "Mayerling" this week. I have also visited the Yorkshire Sculpture park, and the MENCAP art exhibition.
