What progress has been made towards ratification of the Protocols to the European Convention on Extradition.
The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)The Government have no plans to ratify the First Additional Protocol. Steps are being taken to ratify the Second Additional Protocol, but the Government intend initially to adopt only Chapter 2, which permits extradition for fiscal offences.
