To ask the Lord President of the Council how many reports have been produced by Departmental Select Committees arising out of work undertaken by these bodies in the 1987–1992 Parliament; and how many of these reports dealt exclusively with Northern Ireland matters.

Departmental Select Committees agreed to 317 reports, excluding special reports, during the 1987–1992 Parliament, of which five dealt exclusively with Northern Ireland matters.
